Tram TR50 overview

  • 1Description

The Tram TR50 is a professional omnidirectional electret condenser lavalier microphone with a low-profile design resulting in low visibility. The TR50 features a frequency response that enhances the character and frequencies associated with speech.

The polar pattern provides a generous pick up response at the direct and off-axis sections of the microphone capsule. This enhances sensitivity and minimizes noise associated with movement, wind and clothing contact. The TR50 features minimum sound coloration and is available in a variety of connectors for direct integration with wireless transmitters. This version features the TA5F-pin connection for use with Audio-Technica and Lectrosonics wireless transmitters.

The TR50 is powered by your Audio-Technica or Lectrosonics transmitter, but can also be hard-wired with the assistance of the TR79 power supply, not included. The TR79 accepts external Phantom power or uses internal battery power.

Minimum sound coloration for universal use
Easily combined with boom microphones

    Tram TR50 reviews

TR50 - Omnidirectional Lavalier Condenser Microphone (Black) is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Excellent mic. Sound quality is great. Yes, more expensive; but you pay for what you get; superior audio! Only thing that could be a bit better is that the supplied clip easily falls off of the mic.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Happy, happy, happy I bought this to replace an old, and I mean old TRAM TR50 that finally gave up the ghost after many years of great service. I'm pleased that the sound of the new one is consistent with another old TR50 I still have. When something works, why mess with it. Mine are wired with TA5F connectors for use with Lectrosonics.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great mic Been using Tram 50's for years. I really like their sound. It's relatively flat except for a boost in the highs which helps if it's under clothing. I've only had one go bad, probably due to talent yanking on it before I could remove it. I also like all the accessories that allow you to attach it in a variety of ways.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great microphone, just don't get it wet. I just purchased this Tram mic as a replacement for another Tram that I have used for 7 years. The TR50 is a solid mic. Our last one died after using it on an exercise video. It must have got sweat on the mic head and stopped working. We have used the TR50 in a wide array of production work.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Third time I buy this microphone Nice complement to the Lectrosonic 100 unit. You have to treat with care the microphone cable, it is fragile, and it will short if twist and turn.
