Blue THE POP reviews

The Pop - Universal Wire Mesh Windscreen is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 42.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Truth in advertising The filter portion of The Pop works great. Before and after tests clearly show that popping p's are filtered from recordings. The only issue I had with The Pop was that it's a Blue Microphones product and as it ships, it doesn't mount well on a Blue Yeti microphone. Having researched this before I bought it, a $2 flat metal bracket from @ was all I needed to mount this securely to my Yeti without scratching it. I would have given it 5-stars if it came with a mounting option for the Yeti. There are other cheaper pop filters out there, but this one works (and looks) really well with my Blue Yeti. I'm happy with my purchase.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from attractive but functionally problematic This pop filter looks very nice. As far as I can tell, it is doing a nice job at filtering the pops too. It is, however, a bit difficult to use. It is hard to position the filter, and keep it from dipping below where you would like it. The goose-neck just doesn't stay as rigid as one would like. Also, keep in mind that this doesn't fit the Blue Yeti microphone. Despite being the same company, there is nowhere to easily secure the filter on the microphone/mic base.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great with YETI microphone Bought this to work with the YETI microphone and was worried that it may not attach well based on previous comments and description. However, this attached to the side of the YETI stand and works great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very effective Because of it's size and curvature, this pop filter is large enough for practically all side address microphones. Unlike some flat metal louver screens, it does not stop 100% of the airflow from explosive Ps and Ts. However, when positioned an optimal distance from the microphone they are not destructive. I'm using 2 inches The best feature is that it is extremely transparent and neutral, sound-wise. Plus, the mounting and positioning hardware are sturdy and attractive. In short, I like everything about it and it does it's job well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks better on my desk than in a jpeg! I use this product for musical/and production purposes, it eliminates the distortion when speaking into a microphone. In comparison, this pop screen filter is by far top notch in it's industry. What i paid on ... was better than what i would have paid on other sites for a used one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great with Blue Yeti. Will need to be modified or you will need an extension tube to work with the Blue Yeti. Look it up, lots of modification pix. I made an elbow bracket and it works great. Looks great on the mic also. Made with a metal mesh, it looks to be a double screen kind.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Blue product, as expected I'm using this with the Yeti mic, and it's everything I needed it to be. The curved filter is perfect for the shape of the mic. Since I don't have a mic stand on it, I just screwed the filter clamp on to the base of the Yeti. No problems! ...
