    AT8314 Premium Right Angle Microphone Cable - 1.5' (0.45m) is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 57.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great cable well built. Works with NTG-2 I'm not sure what you can say about a cable either it doesn't work or it does, but that probably says more about my experience in audio than anything. In spite or an earlier review that said the cable doesn't work lock with the Rode NTG-2. I can understand the reviewers frustration as it is a snug fit. When attaching it to the the NTG-2, it can be locked in by applying a little extra pressure to the edge that has the locking tabs by pulling the angled part of the adapter back away from the the microphone. Put your thumb on the outside of the elbow and pull from the bottom as if you were trying to straighten out the 90-degree elbow. (Sorry it's kind of difficult to explain)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Shorty XLR I use this along with my Canon XH-A1 and a Rode NTG-2. I was honestly very concerned when I first bought this product because I noticed it wouldn't clip when I attached it into the mic. At first I thought it was the XLR but after some research I found out the problem was with the small rubber insert within the microphone itself, so if you have the Rode NTG-2 don't panic just take out the rubber insert and the XLR with click with ease and function just as well. The XLR itself is great! I love how one end is angled, that way you can point it in different directions to ensure the cable won't get in the way of the camera functions. I initially felt the cable was a tad bit overpriced but honestly I've been very please with it so I don't even care anymore.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for my use This cable works very well on my HVX200a. It positions the cable just right when connecting to my shotgun mic that is placed in the on-camera mic holder. But it also has just enough extra to it that when I want to use the other shoe to mount the mic, it will reach. Plus, I trust the quality of Audio-Technica.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from XLR Male to XLR Angled Female Exactly what I was looking for my XL2 & A1 Canon camera. Keep the wire to the length needed. What I like about it is that I don't have to have a bunch of wire tangle around my camera.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great So Far I use this cord to go along with my shotgun mic mounted on camera and it is a very professional cord. It is just the right length for mics mounted on camera.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from An Almost I was using this cable to connect my shotgun mic to my Soy Z1U and the cable was too long so I had to wrap it around the handle of the camera to keep it out of the way. I also wish both connections were 90 degree connection. That would have permitted easier loading and unloading into the camera case. I think I'll spend a little more and get the coiled cord next and see if that's an improvement. Pros: it is sturdily built and did the job.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality Product I use this cable to connect my shotgun mic mounted on the accessory shoe of my HVR-V1U to one of the camera's XLR inputs. If the shock mount were any shorter, the setup wouldn't work; the angle of the female end makes it necessary to loop the cable through the handle on top of the camera, but it works fine. So far this cable has provided nothing but superb quality audio. I am very pleased with this purchase.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Quality Cable. This is a good quality cable. Its a balanced XLR cable that does its job. The angled female tip is good for for connecting a mic that is at the tip of a boom pole, the angle allows a better curve down the pole, not stressing the cable that hard, and increasing its lifetime, delivering good quality transmission. As a cable gets stressed it may begin to mal function, and lose signal once in a while.
