Hasselblad Extension Tube H Reviews

good tube; doesn't maintain AF

I own the 26mm tube and it works perfectly as an extension tube. However, it is worth noting that AF does not work with the tube and the camera (both H5D 50c and H6D 100) provide a message on the small LCD that "AF does not work with this lens". Hence the advertised sales information on the tube is incorrect.

Hi everyone, this extension tube is the right size, using together with the 50-110 to shoot small products, no micro/macro, but small cups, boxes, parfums, etc... The DOF decreases a lot, but with more lighing you can improve it. Good for beauty and portrait photography too. Go for it! Cezr Motta

I needed a fairly cheap but high quality tool for some occasional closeup photography. The Hasselblad extension tube proved to be right.

Great for Macro on H4D

On a Hasselblad H4D-50 with a 100mm lens, this extension tube is ideal for close-up photography. For example, with the lens set at f11, a rose is exactly in focus, with all in front or behind, nicely bokehed.

Works flawlessly

The H26mm ring couples with all the H-Series' electronics and is a precision made part, typical for Hasselblad. With a 100 mm lens it permits focus on a 4 to 6 wide object in order to fill the frame width. I use this ring for extreme close up photographs of products and flowers.

question

Hi,Would you happen to know the new focus distance, when I use this tube? Also, is it possible to use the tube for normal shooting or can I only use it for macro work?Thank you for the response...Regards,Johnny
Asked by: Anonymous
The new minimum focus distance when using this extension tube would depend on the focal length of the lens you are using along with the lenss native magnification. You would really only want to use the extension tube for macro work. When using extension tubes, the lens looses the ability to focus at infinity, so would no longer be able to focus on objects in the distance.
