I see that this paper contains OBA. Will the paper yellow over time? Is it considered an archival paper?
Asked by: Tod
OBAs are an effective solution for enhancing the whiteness of inkjet media, but they can also degrade the integrity and longevity of a fine art print by causing metamerism, which leads to color shifts, and by accelerating yellowing over time.

I would think so, if just B&W? I’ve accidentally printed on it and the colors were off, but maybe a little text might work?

question

When using Epson's Velvet Fine Art Paper how do you tell which side to print on?
Asked by: Lloyd
I always leave the paper right side up. I know some customers say you can feel the difference, but I have never been able to notice much difference until I print it on the wrong side. If you print on the wrong side, the colors are very faded.

question

Since it has a matte finish, I'm supposed to use matte black ink. What will happen if I use gloss black?
Asked by: Gary
If you print with photo black on the print, the ink will not stick properly and it will be a mess. The black will also not look correct. The printer does not recognize the paper loaded into it so you must select the correct profile.
