This is a B&H exclusive Lowel Pro-Light Two-Light Kit. This kit is centered around the Pro-Light focus floodlight. With its high-intensity #2 reflector and prismatic glass, the tiny focusable Pro-Light is more efficient than a Fresnel of equal wattage, yet it gives an exquisite, even light with Fresnel-like shadow quality. It can be used as a low-level key light or accent light, fill light (with diffusion), or backlight.

There is a wide variety of customizing accessories, and this fixture may also be used with 230 VAC or 12 VDC current by ordering the appropriate bulb, adapter plug/cable, or DC power source separately. This kit includes two spigot adapters that you attach to the top of each light stand to create a more secure fit of the fixture.

  • 2 x Lowel ViP Pro-Light (120 VAC / 12 VDC)

With its high intensity #2 reflector and prismatic glass, the tiny, focusable Lowel ViP Pro-Light is more efficient than a mini-Fresnel of equal wattage, yet it gives an exquisite, even light, with Fresnel-like shadow quality. It can be used as a low-level key or accent light, fill light (with diffusion), or backlight.

In addition to a wide variety of customizing accessories, its versatility can be increased by switching its 12' AC cable for an optional DC adapter cable and swapping its bulb for use as a camera-top fixture. Other bulbs, and plug adapters are available. When fitted with an FVL 200 watt bulb (available separately), the Pro-Light will emit a beam of 23 footcandles at full flood and 143 footcandles at full spot from a distance of 10' (3 m). With a GCC 100W lamp at 12 VDC: 12 footcandles in flood and 58 footcandles in spot.

    Focus Flood
  • Change the setting from "spot" to "flood" position or anywhere in between by turning knob on side of unit.
  • Has a focus range of 6:1 with optional lamp.
  • Easy Access
The front end comes off for easy access for no-tool lamp change.
    Multi-Use Source
Substituting the prismatic glass for the optional clear glass turns light into a non-focusing, high intensity spotlight, for long throw situations.
Choose your bulb for 120 VAC or 12 or 30 VDC.

  • 2 x Lowel Complete Four Leaf Barndoor Set for Pro, i-Light

The Lowel Four Leaf Barndoor Set for the Pro and i-Lights consists of a Barndoor Frame with four expandable clip-on Leaves. The frame accepts swing-in accessories, and rotates 360°.

Barndoors narrow the beam spread of a light fixture. They help create a three-dimensional look to a lighting scheme by placing light in a specific area, or by keeping it away. The more leaves a barndoor set has, or the longer the leaves the more precisely the beam can be controlled.

Pro-Light Two-Light Kit is rated 3.3 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Lights don't fit the stands very well I was happy with everything in the kit accept that the lights don't secure very well to the stands. Both claim to use the same post size (and I tend to believe the lights are more accurate about it than the stands). It takes a lot of force on the knob to get the light to stay on the stand, and then if you apply a little pressure from one particular direction, the will come loose. Fortunately they hold well enough that they won't fall off completely when they do come loose and destroy your light. Though if your light is still hot it could jar it enough to easily cost you a bulb. It's pretty annoying and leaves my fingers in a lot of pain from tightening it over and over. Any time you adjust your lights you will probably have to tighten them again. I'm planning on buying some new stands so I won't have to deal with the problem anymore. I just wish they included better stands to begin with.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from wrong stands The lights are great...very compact but with high output. The accessories are a bit clumsy due to the limited size but well designed. Through the umbrellas, the light is very diffuse for quality shots. The stands that come with this particular kit do not work with the pro-light though. I had to replace them with some omni stands. Now it's a great kit.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Tried and True I have two Lowel Pro kits and I love these babies. Depending on your power delivery system, these lights can function in either AC or DC mode. Just remember to never mix up your AC & DC bulbs, or you'll blow them in a heartbeat. I have dicrhoic filters snapped into my barn doors for daylight light balance use. They're great for kicking out harsh shadows on a sunny day. The Lowel Pro light-head is extremely rugged and the bodies can take a severe beating. Just be careful of the filaments in the bulbs. I keep my bulbs in a Lowel lampak foam carrying case, and I install them onsite. Remember, when using an AC bulb, never move or adjust the light-head when it is turned on or you'll blow the AC bulb. Always turn it off first then adjust it. DC bulbs have no problem with movement. I mount the light-head on top of my camera and the DC bulb almost never blows due to movement. Other than that, my light kits are tried & true with 10 years of constant production service. I'm not a fan of the Lowel light stands and have moved over to Bogen/Manfrotto stands. I really dislike the screw knobs on the height adjusters. However, it looks like they've tried to improve them on my newer kit, but I still prefer my Bogen/Manfrotto stands. One warning, these little light-heads get REALLY HOT. Instant blistering can occur if handled incorrectly. I always let them cool down for ten to fifteen minutes before packing them up. It only takes one occurrence of touching a hot lamp-head to respect the pain they can inflect. You could say I got my money's worth and I'm still getting my money's worth. They're beat to heck but just keep lighting my shots perfectly. All this said, I think the day of the filament bulb is fast coming to an end, I recently purchased a Lowel LED light-head, and it's awesome. As soon as I can afford to buy more, I'll probably retire these babies in short order. However, these lights still have a place in my gear bag for now.
