Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Well for Street Shooting I use this cable release to surreptitiously trip the shutter of my camera as it hangs from my shoulder when I'm shooting on the street. I hang the camera on my left shoulder. The cable release runs through my belt loops behind my back to my right front pants pocket. I can push the plunger without taking my hand out of my pocket. I just pick a general focus distance and shoot with a small aperture. Aperture-priority auto mode does the rest. The black cloth makes the cable release harder to see. It really is 40 long. It works really well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Getting Yourself In Leica M Shots I got this long release specifically so I could include myself some of the photos taken with my Leica M cameras. You can't always depend on a waiter or a passing stranger to know how to adequately use a manual camera, so this cuts out some of the variables. The build quality and durability seems as good if not better than other currently produced cloth cable releases.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sturdy Cable Release When I was looking for a cable release, I read all of the reviews that I could to find one that would be high quality for a good price. This is what I came across and it hasn't disappointed me yet. There's not a whole lot that can be said about something so simple. It does what it is supposed to do. Attach it, press the button and there you go.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Unusual but useful item This cable release is unusually long but very flexible. In many instances such as operating a big camera or triggering a shutter in a lab setting, a long cable release cannot be substituted.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I would not purchase again. I'm planning on contacting you today for a return. Yesterday I used it for the first time. On my XT2 after 5 shots of the bride the thing literally exploded. Sprung out and cloth separated.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Slightly disappointed It's nice and all, but it simply doesn't extend the cable far enough to fully actuate the shutter mechanism. I'll have to return it. :(
