This cable release does exactly what it says. If you have an old Wollensak shutter (Alphax/Betax/Gammax etc) this release is perfect. It has a long throw to actuate the old shutters perfectly.

I bought this cable release for the same reason many of your other reviewers did. It was red and easy to find in the bag. It also appeared to be well made and smooth operating. The price seemed a bit high for a cable release, but my thought was you get what you pay for. I shot exactly 3 rolls of 120 film ( 8 exposures per roll) when the disc part of the plunger just broke off and crumbled into several pieces, rendering the whole thing useless. Buyer beware. you don't always get what you pay for.

Works, and it's red.

The best cable release I've owned. Reliable, durable and I love that they come in colors other than black. Makes them easier to see in your camera bag or if they fall on the ground.

It was my first time being in the super store in person so I had to buy something. Luckily I needed a shutter release cable for my Mamiya RB67 and the one suggested for me fits my needs perfectly thanks to whoever helped me in the store.

Great product overall

This was bought for a large format camera and I thought it might be too long. It was not. Just right. Quality is ok, the only minor issue is it gets a little stiff when bent in a smallish radius due to the internal cable rubbing on the external tube. Would also be better is a non-locking version was offered and in black also, but those are really very minor issues. Overall, a great product.
