question

This will work with sony 33?
Asked by: joseph b.
I hope you mean the Sony SLT A33. I see that the A33 has a hot shoe which means it should trigger any electronic flash, including the Mecablitz 36 C-2. From the pictures I've seen, the A33 has four terminals on the hot shoe, usually that means enhanced operations with compatible flash units. The Mecablitz is a simple automatic flash unit with only one terminal for triggering the flash, so those additional functions will not be available. The camera has its own built in pop-up flash too. I use my Mecablitz primarily as a remote slave unit, triggered by a simple photocell operated unit. Check the owner's manual to make sure there are no limitations to using a simple flash unit. If you're unsure, try a simple flash unit on your camera. If it works, the Mecablitz will also work. Good Luck!

question

Is this safe to use on a Sony A7r?
Asked by: James
Hello James,Honestly, I don't know since I use only Leica M6 and Zeiss Ikon 35mm film camera. It is great for these two camera so far. It is a compact and mobile to carry. It also has manual and TTL functions I believe. You can speak to technicians in B&H and as well email mecablitz tech department to find out before placing an order. I would do. Hope this helps. John
