This fits on my RF 100mm macro lens and increases the magnification. it works great in manual focus. I use it free handed, but on a tripod would be best. no regrets buying this. I also like how it comes with a hard case.
I only recently picked up photography as a way to submit higher quality observations in iNaturalist and was looking for a way to capture finer details on specimens. This lens is great for my purposes, especially I learn. Definitely a lot of bang for your buck.
