    Hands-On Par 56 4 Light System (120V) is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Solid System Purchased this product to introduce my Video students to real world lighting. before I even put up a light I was impressed with how securely the system was shipped! solid units, GREAT for a starter studio or even an existing setup, the system comes with 4 lights but the boards support up to 8! plenty of room to grow! Weaknesses - No good instructions on how to set this up. you get 4 separate color gels, so buy other packs. and the bulbs that shipped with it are narrow spot, so for small rooms order wide floods!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light and Day - This is the One! In our 13th century Castle, we were in need of a small, programmable, compact light system to help in creating effects and add safety to event areas. This system set up very quickly and was up a running in no time. It helped to create a very professionally lit area and did the job we expected beautifully. Not for professional stages, this setup works for this our needs and without hassle and little additional help in even running the lights. A good buy...

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good Starter System I purchased this lighting package for a high school, as we needed supplementary lights for staging productions. It provides a good introduction to theatre lighting systems, as it has all the basic equipment for portable/support lighting for areas in the hall that the main lighting may not be able to reach. The steel lighting stand is heavy and awkward to use, with plastic fittings and no safety stops. This makes it hard for one person to lift, especially if your dimmer pack is mounted to the top branch. The dimmer pack plugs are a bit delicate, and part of the two lower receptacles broke when trying to remove the lighting plugs. The lighting board and Par 56 cans work fine with a DMX cord of respectable length. Now that I better understand portable lighting, I know that I should have done it differently - separately purchased a lighter tripod with safety stops and side branches; purchased 4 Par 64 cans or cans with barn doors with better quality gels; purchased the dimmer pack and lighting board separately. While it may have cost a few dollars more, it would have made a better system. You get what you pay for. In this case, I paid to learn!
