The BMAX-T Tube Bass Guitar Preamplifier from BBE Sound is a versatile tube preamp and processor for studio recording and live concert applications. It can be used with both passive and active pickup instruments. The BMAX-T circuitry includes a Class A, DC regulated tube preamp section, built in the tradition of classic tube preamp designs of the '50s and '60s. It features a high voltage 300V tube front end with a 12AX7 tube which provides preamp gain and passive interactive tone control. The DI output is transformer-balanced with a Jensen transformer. The BMAX-T contains a three-band EQ, an optical "soft-knee" compressor, and a full-functioning Sonic Maximizer. Both the compressor and the Sonic Maximizer can be switched on and off either via the front panel or with an optional FS-BMAX footswitch (sold separately).
