It's big, it's portable, it fold easily and the price is great!
So many photographers have reflector kits. These are usually around $30 and have 4 "colors" and one white filter. This product really pushes that curve. First just the quality of all the components is much better. The carry bag is heavy canvas. The zippers are substantial. All of the parts started with better quality. Now for the colors !! WHY 6 ?? There are the silver and gold that we are accustomed to having. But their is something called daylight, which is much closer to skin tones. So you can use this instead of the gold and actually not have that orange look to your faces. In addition there is a 1 stop diffuser and a 2 stop diffuser. What we normally get is a 2 stop diffuer. This 1 stop is going to be a joy to use. You acctually get a wonderful soft sunlight thru it. I have the 2 stop defusser inside the relfector and the 1 stop stays as a standalone. This is just excellent functionality. So the price does buy you something. It is just better !!!
Picked this up many years ago and really have been enjoying its usefulness. �I decided on this rounded square version which makes it easier to prop up against something and stay still. Very good construction. �The edges are very rugged. �Not too thick to get between dedicated holders or clamps. Tip: Pick up a second one (I just did this myself) to enjoy faster setup time and more options at your fingertips. �Between the two, I now have 1- and 2-stop diffussion panels uncovered. �The 2nd set of the panels are then wrapped with the gold/silver and sunlight/black covers respectively.
Fantastic reflector! �Sturdy and well made. �Fantastic size! �Zippers are great and easy to slip the covers on and off. �Shame there is no White. �Very happy with the purchase.
As per my title, it's a good quality kit with nice thicker spring steel frames but it's overpriced for what it is.
They fold up and fit into a semi-flat (3 inch) by 13 inch case. Good quality construction and I like the softer gold color. I have used the two light diffusers also shooting in the sun.
Produce a beautiful color of light as a reflector.
