Itoya has been the only brand of storage/display books that lay flat (very important to me, as I don't want my art getting bent overtime) and have solidly constructed sleeves. The only thing I would note is that it is much heavier than I expected, nearly 3lbs in one book with nothing inside of it. I wish there was a lighter version...

The portfolio has 2 very sturdy plastic covers that I foresee taking abuse for many years to come. The interior sleeves are clear and appear to be sturdy enough for what they are. My ONLY objection - and it's a very small objection - is that both covers are identical, and that makes it hard to know what side you're opening. A little black gaffers tape fixed that problem though. Great value for the price.

Don't waste your time and money purchasing a knockoff of these from a certain big name seller that starts with an a. These are so much better in every way, and comparable in price. I ordered them in several sizes to hold my pigment prints from the Canon 300. Highly recommend this, and the B&H shipping and packing are top notch. Spend a little extra and get a lot more.

I'm a printer and I've got a lot of large prints that needed a home so I got the 13x19 size. The quality is great and it's still pretty compact. I could easily save 48 prints in a safe environment for a very reasonable price.

Will 16x24 prints fit? 16.5 x23.4 seems like such an odd size...

16.5 x 23.4 or 594 x 420 mm is metric A2 sizing that the rest of the world uses outside of the USA and Canada. As far as prints fitting, I believe what you are thinking of are 16 x 20 prints. These of course will easily fit and be protected in the A2 sized sleeves of this book.

How are refill pages inserted? Do the rings open?

The pages are top loading. There are no rings . The middle is sort of molded together to keep the pages in place. We are VERY pleased with the product. :)

Is the grey "Profolio" logo along the spine removable?

Yes it is removable. Just bend the portfolio backwards and the paper logo can be removed.

Can this book be set up so that images can be viewed at about a 90 degree angle, or does it just lie flat to display?

In my experience, Dennis, viewing works better if the folio is flat. I suggest a spiral binder for 90 degree viewing without a tip over challenge.Best,Catherine R.
