I only shoot Tri-x these days. I played around with many other films but always came back to Tri-x. The latitude is terrific. It gives you detail in both shadows and highlights. I can bump up or take down the contrast in the darkroom. It's just a wonderfully friendly little roll of film that produces beautiful images!

I love the tones and contrast of this film so much. I recently shot a roll next to a roll of the Ilford delta 400 and saw better results in every shot.

Started shooting with Tri-X on a medium format Yashica and a Canon FT-QL 35mm back in 1970 and learned quickly to totally love this film stock... had trouble locating rolls for years, gave up and then recently found it at B&W... Love it....

Environment-friendly, less expensive

Thankfully Kodak still sells Tri-X in 100-foot rolls. A bulk roll is enough for twenty 36-exposure rolls, at over $100 less than buying rolled Tri-X. And you're sparing our environment 20 plastic cans.

This is my go to all around working documentary film. I love it. Somewhat versatile - at 400 you can shoot in lower light but also broad daylight - but most of all I just love the film grain and contrast. It's so much better than TMAX 100. Something about this old formula, less perfected than the more contemporary TMAX 100 grain structure, just has more soul. I love this film. I wish there was a color film with this much soul other than the positive films, which mostly don't represent skin tones right.

Hello,Yes we do. With A&I mailers, your film is processed and you get back a set of 4x6 Glossy or Matte finish, (with white border or no border) prints. Mailer service includes normal processing, printing & return shipping. For push processing enclose a check for $1 per stop.

Appropriate film speed/exposure settings will vary based on your circumstance, but based on the specs of the Argus C3 (50mm f/3.5, and shutter speeds available - bulb, 1/10 - 1/300), 400 ASA film should be usable in many situations.
