uh, it's a connector
This connector does exactly what I needed it to do. It fits on the other side, and allows magical electrical current to flow into my device, and make it glow. The connector it has to plug into is a Hirose connector of the other gender-there was no choice in the matter. No other connector would have worked. It's a reasonably good quality connector, and I'm sure it will bring many years of joy.

Forget about AA batteries!
I use this connector, to power up my sound devices 664, with a v- lock li-ion battery, and I really forget about the power for 2-4 days. Heavy duty.
