Nikon 4765 Overview

The Nikon SC-28 TTL Coiled Remote Cord provides full TTL control for Nikon Speedlights when used off camera with Nikon SLR cameras which have a TTL-enabled hot shoe. Approximately 9' (2.7 m) long and coiled, it permits easy use of flash when the camera is mounted upon a bracket.

This cord replaces the SC-17. Improvements on the SC-28 over the SC-17 are: Posi-Lock (an improved locking switch) and the cord on the camera shoe that now connects parallel to the camera.

We use this with our Godox flashes and Nikon bodies, and it seems to work well. No problems after a few months of use.

Thanks for the quick shipping! I’ve been out of the market for some time, and as a long-ago customer, it’s reassuring to know customer service is still at the top of B & H’s list of priorities.

The remote cord met my need to trigger a Nikon SB-500 flash mounted on a light stand with a softbox. The cord is well-constructed and easy to use. It worked the first time without a need to read a manual.

I had bought this product originally over 10 years ago.  This one is a replacement.  I use it all the time, and have always had good experiences with this item.  It works very well with all my Nikon cameras and flash units.  The coiled cord is a plus.  This is the second one I have owned.

Works, could be better  HELLO NIKON!

1.  It should come with a cold-foot mount for the money.  I guess NIKON IS NOT LISTENING, so I have to buy a Manfrotto 262 cold-foot for every one I own. 2.  Coiled cords do not help anything.  The cord should be straight.  Why?  Because (a) if you try to use anywhere near the rated length of this cord, you effectively have a bungee trying to pull over your light stand, and (b) a 10c Velcro tie could be used to take up any unwanted slack in the cord.  (IMHO, this complaint applies to ALL cords, eg, cell phone car adapters, microphone cords, headphone cords, etc.  They are all bulky bungee cords just waiting to make an accident.)

question

Is there any way to use the SC-28 TTL on a Nikon D300 and continue to have the SB800 flash use TTL BL? When the flash is on camera I can switch back and forth from TTL to TTL BL but when using the cord, I could not choose TTL BL.
Asked by: Anonymous
With use of the SC-28, it is not using the infrared panel on the flash to calculate the ambient lighting. You will be able to use the TTL-BL feature with the use of the SC-29 cord: http://bhpho.to/1hYoxgO
