The Nikon SC-28 TTL Coiled Remote Cord provides full TTL control for Nikon Speedlights when used off camera with Nikon SLR cameras which have a TTL-enabled hot shoe. Approximately 9' (2.7 m) long and coiled, it permits easy use of flash when the camera is mounted upon a bracket.

Is there any way to use the SC-28 TTL on a Nikon D300 and continue to have the SB800 flash use TTL BL? When the flash is on camera I can switch back and forth from TTL to TTL BL but when using the cord, I could not choose TTL BL.
With use of the SC-28, it is not using the infrared panel on the flash to calculate the ambient lighting. You will be able to use the TTL-BL feature with the use of the SC-29 cord: http://bhpho.to/1hYoxgO
