+2 M Diopter is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 13.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Don't like wearing eye glasses? The corrective eyepiece allows you to adjust the viewfinder so that you can manually focus correctly without wearing eyeglasses. I am a new rangefinder user and have seen improved results since adding this to my M8. It would have earned five stars if this product had multiple diopter settings so I wouldn't have to replace it each time my eye sight changes. If you don't mind wearing glasses while focusing, pass on it. Otherwise, this is a useful product to consider and performs as advertised.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Frankly a Rip-Off. Years back I had a Nikon F4s and it had built-in diopters that could be easily switched to suit whoever was using the camera. It was all built-in. Leica could have done this too, but they are greedy. I got fed up with using heavyweight SLR stuff and eventually bought an M9 plus a Summicron 90 and a Summilux 35. I'd wanted a new Leica since I was a kid but could never afford one. I'm retired now so I said 'what the heck, this'll do me for the rest of my life' and bought the stuff. But a Leica's like a Ferrari, isn't it? Extras are crippling. You lose things, you need things you hadn't thought of and that's when I get angry. The 90 'cron lens cap is, what? - $50? - $5 generic. Which is fine when you can get a generic but try finding one for the 35. I'm not saying I'm disappointed with what I've got, I actually feel really good just holding it, but not all Leica owners are seriously wealthy, and most are not fools.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works well for me The +2.0 Diopter Correction Lens for my M9 allows me to see clearly through the view finder without using my glasses.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Never buy another Leica product again. Perfectly useless. How am I supposed to guess which diopter I need? I have my prescription from my eye doctor but the diopter makes the M240 viewfinder even more difficult to see. Leica should provide some useful guidelines to select the proper piece.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sat results I normally use 2.25 corrections for reading, but Leica's choices were 2.0 or 3.0. I opted for the 2.0, and it works perfectly. If you require 2.75, you may want to opt for 3.0. But it's much less awkward than dealing with reading lenses while focusing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from If you need it... If I could find some glasses that would allow me to actually see the whole frame at 28mm that would be great. But as it stands this is the only way for me to compose my photos with the M9. Thankfully it also works on the M7.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Put yourself in focus. If your vision isn't perfect and you don't want eyeglasses coming between you and the viewfinder, put Leica's costly correction lens on the camera. Five stars if it weren't so expensive.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Diopter Corrector by Leica for M cameras Easily Screws into the existing optical viewfinder of the M246. Correction is exact and certainly makes it a lot easier to focus if you are wearing prescription glasses.
