Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful I started using Tri-X 16mm in the 60's as a student. That was old Tri-x negative. It was a beautiful then - speed, tonal values, crisp and surprisingly low-grain. I bought some recently just to shoot something with my old Bolex. Kodak only manufactures Tri-X 16mm as a reversal stock. I was a little nervous to see the results but WOW! I feel like I just found an old friend. Actually since everything goes straight from processing to digital transfer - eliminating the need for a negative and work print -- reversal stock makes a lot of sense. What can i tell you about my old friend Tri-X? They're looking as good in 2014 as they did in 1968 - hasn't aged a bit - may even look a little better!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gorgeous stock, fine grain I love this film stock and have been shooting it for many years in 16mm and Super8. Worked on a feature in 2005 where we shot 7266 about 80% of the time. Very sharp, lovely tonality, and very fine grain for the speed. You can push it too. Just don't underexpose it! Don't forget the ASA drops to 160 under tungsten light. 7266 loves mid tones and highlights - they are so creamy looking, looks gorgeous projected. Recently shot a wedding with it and used a #25 Red filter, the image blows away the 7D stills I took side by side. Support Kodak and celluloid, long live Black & White!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Better Price I teach 16mm filmmaking, and Kodak Tri-X is the standard introductory film stock. and find the film stock at B&H among the better prices online-- and you know you can trust that the stock should be in good condition (some of the cheaper sources can be questionable)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Kodak 7266 Great BW stock

Rated 5 out of 5 by from As always, a great reversal BW film Been hand-processing TriX reversal for a year now, doing D19 for both developers and a sulfuric acid/ dichromate bleach. Love the look of this film and the good exposure latitude even with reversal processing. Lots of detail and pretty fine grain for a reasonably fast film. Grain can be drawn out via pushing or otherwise playing with the processing. Will continue using TriX as my main BW stock.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works as it should I am glad this store carries these films or films in general! Films are going extinct and it is nice to be able to work with bolex cameras and films while I can.
