Da-Lite 93872 overview

  • 1Description

The Dalite 84x84" Picture King Tripod Front Projection Screen is a classic. It's the famous screen we all had when we were young, stuffed in a closet and brought out when family and friends came over.

On a higher level, it's a tough, rugged and reliable screen that can be used for industry, education and learning lab use.  The heavy aluminum legs with toe release provide a sturdy and stable stance on which to project images.

Note: The Carpeted version of the Picture King features a soft wrapping on the case which prevents "dings" and helps protect the casing from external damage

Tried and true amateur/professional tripod screen
Screen height is adjustable to accommodate any ceiling height with self-locking extension tube and high-low case adjustment
Durable legs means this screen can withstand the rigors of daily usage
Stores easily with simple collapse mechanism

    Da-Lite 93872 reviews

93872 Picture King Tripod Front Projection Screen (84x84") is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Finally a screen that I won't return I purchased the carpeted version of this screen and am impressed with the solid build quality. The legs and frame are sturdy and the operation works as it should. I am happy with this one and will keep it. The actual screen material feels pretty robust as well. I did notice some horizontal ripple lines when I opened it but they seem to fade after a while in the open position. Like other screens I had to step on the legs while I raised the lower portion of the screen to prevent the legs from lifting off the floor. I previously purchased the Da-Lite Versatol 84x84 DAV8484MW screen which was over $100 cheaper but returned it twice. The first one would not retract properly so I had it replaced. The second one had the same issue plus it came dented. In both cases the DAV8484MW screen would not retract in one shot. I had to continually lower it until it stopped, raise it, lower it until it stopped, etc., etc. I contacted the manufacturer first and they confirmed that it was defective. Apparently the second one was as well. In addition, the build was a little flimsy, especially the legs. Spend the extra money and purchase this one, you won't be sorry.
