Tuned to the popular hydrogen-alpha wavelength, the Straight-Viewing 30mm H-Alpha Blocking Filter from Coronado is designed to be used on OTAs with focal lengths of up to 3000mm, and is the secondary interference filter in a Coronado solar viewing system. For safe viewing and to protect the optical system, it must be used in conjunction with a front SolarMax filter. The snout and eyepiece holder are made to fit larger 2" drawtubes and eyepieces which allows for wider fields of view and longer eye reliefs. While SolarMax filters are sold in kits that include a blocking filter, this 30mm filter is offered here for viewers who have two different sized telescopes that they want to use their SolarMax system with but require a different size blocking filter.
