    Arca-Type Quick Release Plate for Nikon D5, D4, D3, D3S, D3X, D100 w/MB-D100 is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wish I had found this perfect solution years ago! I casually mentioned to my B&H rep that I didn't trust my very heavy DSLR camera on the tripod in a vertical orientation because no matter how much I clamped down the tripod plate to the body, I could feel it immediately start to loosen once in place on the tripod. He mentioned this anti-slip plate, and problem solved. Comes with an allen wrench which quickly secures the plate. My local camera store, despite frequent trips for resolution and multiple purchases of plates that didn't solve the issue, never figured it out. This B&H fellow, on the phone, sight unseen, diagnosed and solved the problem in 10 seconds. So the five-star rating is for him as well. Yea, B&H!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Acratech Quick Release Plate Rocks! I own several of these (different styles for different cameras and telephoto lenses). Unlike some cheaper plates, these have never slipped or come loose, but remain rock solid and tight.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Canon 1D Series Plate All I can say is I use Acratech for all my film and digital equipment, and they have never failed me, and this fits perfect to all my Acratech Ball Heads.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid product This fits my D4s perfectly although after additional research I may move to an L-type bracket. This is perfect in horizontal orientation, and I'm experimenting with a new ball mount that tilts 90 degrees which could be the right match.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from excellent plate I have several Arca style QR plates, mostly from Acratech because they are quality pieces at decent prices. This particular plate was purchased for my D3s, but I also found that it fits perfectly on the MB-D11 grip for the D7000.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does the job Bought this to use with an Arca-style head as a conversion from the Manfrotto QR technology I've used for years, and bought this model to go along with a head and L-bracket. Immediately happy that the curved front eliminates a problem I've had for years with my Manfrotto QR plates -- twist. The low profile and smooth edges also means I don't have to remove this plate when wrapping the body and returning it in my camera case, and the light weight means I don't care about leaving it on even when handholding the camera or using a lens-based mount. Apparently the manufacturer has had some customers with bad screw thread experiences, because they mention in multiple places in the pamphlet to stop and call if the screw used to mount the plate to the tripod hole in the camera body seems to resist or become misaligned. I shudder to think of a screw coming off. They also caution against over-tightening, so I think it would be worthwhile considering applying a liquid friction enhancer like Loctite if you plan to just leave this on your camera permanently, to minimize the chance of a screw working loose.
