What is the center to center hole distance for the mounting screws?
Asked by: Charlie
The Sol-Searcher attaches to the mount ring slot of every Tele Vue telescope (or to the rear cell slot in the Tele Vue Ranger). For use with telescopes other than Tele Vue, mount the Sol-Searcher using #10-32 screws, or if necessary, attach with Velcro (not supplied). Sol Searcher can also be made into a quick-release accessory when mounted on QRD-1006 (Dovetail) used with QRB-1002 (Quick-release bracket) Sorry I found no data sheet indicating the hole separation

You would probably have to check with Celestron about that.

Is it compatible with a Celestron NexStar SLT 125 MAK?
Asked by: JOSE
It is compatible with a Celestron scope but the mounting holes will not line up. The Sol Searcher is not really a precision instrument so perfect alignment is not required. Tele Vue actually recommends using double sided tape for other telescopes besides the Tele Vue brand.

question

can i adapt the Tele Vue Sol-Searcher Finderscope to my camera's hot-shoe, if yes how?
Asked by: John
Hello,I did a typo in my previous answer. The reference to the adapter to the Nikon or Canon hot shoe is the Geoptik 30A192. Put this on Google and you will find it. Michel
