Pentax DA 14mm f/2.8 ED (IF) Overview

The Pentax smc P-DA 14mm F2.8 ED (IF) is designed to be used with digital SLR cameras. It incorporates a high-refraction extra low dispersion (ED) glass element to produce a high-resolution, high-contrast image with true-to-life color rendition, and features an Internal Focus system to make focusing smoother and faster.

Like all Pentax lenses, this lens is treated with smc coating for maximum light transmission, sharp definition, and high contrast images.

Not suitable for 35mm film SLR cameras.
DA series is specifically designed for digital cameras
(ED) glass element to produce high-resolution, higher-contrast images
Internal Focus system makes focusing smoother and faster

Will this lens work with the Pentax K70? I am rookie.

I used 14mm f/2.8 on my Pentax K50 camera. So this lens will work with Pentax K70 camera too. Because this is a APS-C DSLR camera.

Will this lens work in a full frame crop mode on the k-1?

Likely, yes. But in Crop Mode, you limit the K1 to 15MP. By comparison, this lens on a K3-ii body yields images with 24MP. I have this lens, and the image quality is stunning.
