This low rolling Runway Base from Matthews was designed to work with the Magic Stand, but it is also capable of handling any large light fixture mounted directly onto its 1 1/8" Posi-V-Lock Junior receiver.

Retrofitted to work even better.
I have been wanting this for a while and I finally got one delivered this week. One thing I didnât know was there is minimal ground clearance between the bottom of it and any flat surface. About 15mm and then there are bolt nuts exposed from the base. I ended up taking it to a wheel and castor shop and we swapped all 3 wheels out for larger wheels (120mm wheels with whole swivel lock assembly also) and now it sits a lot higher which will be better rolling over uneven surfaces outside etc. The centrepost I used (Kupo) does have a bit of wiggle movement when secured into the base so Iâll have to test another brand to see if itâs also an issue. Itâs definetly strong enough to stand on and roll on. It is big. It is heavy. But I have no issues with wanting to put my Aputure 1200x on it with modifier.
The best runway base. Period
Don't consider any other runway base. Just buy this one and stop looking elsewhere.
