Hot-Shoe Shotgun Microphone Clip is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 63.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from The same clip used by AudioTechnica This clip looks identical to those included with some Audiotechnica mics, like ATR25 and ATR55. The one I got with my ATR25 mic has cracked, so I bought not one but two more as replacement parts. They are cheap, still this is not a reason for breaking apart. I suggest to put it on your mic once -- very gently! -- and never take it off, or it will crack and fall apart. Also, check the threads and how smooth the nut turns. On one clip out of the two I bought, I could turn the nut only after I applied sanding paper. I was really afraid that I will break this thing. This is not a high-tech high-tolerance product by any means. But for the price you may tolerate its faults, after all it works as intended, small, unobtrusive, light, and blends with black color of my camera and mics, so I have marked it as recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hot-Shoe Mic Clip Works at Last Minute! I haven't done a event video production in a while and when I was getting my equipment together, low and behold my hot-shot mic clip was broken. Ugh! I did see a microphone set with the hot-shoe clip, but my mic still worked and I wasn't going to spend too much to just get the clip. It was a Monday and the event was on a Friday. Well, BH Photo to the rescue. I search using the iOS App, found this clip and ordered it. By Friday late morning it arrived, and in one piece. That night, the video shoot went well and the microphone clip worked as expected. Thank you BH Photo for coming through again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Competes Best in Price/Performance Ratio The amount of versatility and price for the performance are probably two of the greatest features that this product excels in. The WindTech Shotgun mic shoe adapter (CM-21) makes an excellent, sturdy way of getting a microphone onto the shoe of your camcorder. One small con worth pointing out, though, is that the compatibility in terms of supporting microphones is very limited. The barrel will adjust to slipping in and out of shotgun mics, but not much beyond that. Overall, the mounting and setup capabilities are simply excellent.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nothing special, good budget clip The first thing I have to say is that my order for this came broken in the bag. I assume someone stepped on it as the clip wasn't bubble wrapped and quite honestly packaged rather poorly. They immediately sent me a new one however at no extra cost or expense, and I didn't even have to return the broken one. But I'm not reviewing the shipping department, so I digress. The clip is functional, and you get what you pay for with the price. It's flimsy, but holds my NTG-1 in place fine. I'm giving it five stars because I didn't expect anything more for $.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No Problems This is a very simple piece, which doesn't leave much room for problems.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Simple, solid accessory This is a simple, solid microphone clip that quickly snaps into a camera hot-shoe and tightens up. It easily accepts my Rode NTG-2 shotgun mic and holds it securely without the need to force the microphone to snap into the cradle. The only shortcomings are the fact that there's only vertical adjustments for the microphone direction (meaning the subject needs to be nearly centered in front of the camera) and there's no shockmount of course. Then again, it's 1/5 the price of the next cheapest mount and certainly of acceptable quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Microphone Holder! I bought my Audio Technica ATR-55 used from a famous online bidding website and the owner did not have the hotshoe holder. So after searching I found this holder by Windtech for a great price! I ordered right away and it fit my Canon HV-30 perfectly. This thing is built pretty darn sturdy, It will no way drop your microphone or tilt on its axis, once you adjust it to your settings, it will stay that way! Would definitely recommend it to anyone needing a microphone hot-shoe clip.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great and Handy Piece of Hardware I wholeheartedly recommend this... this little jewel is a very handy piece to have, and an excellent value. It's well made, and fits my camcorder and microphone perfectly, and has no trouble keeping its up/down and left/right alignments. I do have one issue: the clip conducts mechanical noise from the tape transport and from handling of the camera into the body of the microphone. But -- I can't blame the clip. The mic I like to use for ambient sound is very touchy and sensitive to handling noise. This clip is a tremendous value for the price, and if you look at the design, it's fairly obvious that there's very little they could do to avoid sound/vibration conduction. What you may not be able to see is that there's a nifty O-ring where the clip clamps down (screws down, actually, to meet a fixed, square mate piece that slides inside the shoe) to your hot-shoe, which is a good design element -- you're not just tightening plastic-to-metal-to-plastic, you've got some rubber in there to keep a tight connection without risking cracking things. If you need something like this, this is a *deal*. I say buy 2 even if you only need 1. That's what I did. Good move on my part.
