Audio-Technica ATW-3110 overview

  • 1Description

The Audio Technica 3000 Series wireless systems provide reliable, professional UHF technology for the most demanding of applications. The ATW-3110 is a frequency agile, true-diversity body-pack wireless microphone system including the ATW-R310 receiver and ATW-T310 UniPak Transmitter. The absence of a microphone allows users the freedom to choose any of the Audio-Technica UniPak compatible microphones or cables as desired.

The ATW-R310 receiver features frequency adjustable UHF reception, allowing access of up to 200 user selectable channels. Diversity reception allows 2 build-in, independent receivers to relay on a single frequency for the strongest possible reception. The rear panel reveals both unbalanced 1/4" Phone and balanced XLR outputs. A comprehensive back-lit LCD display reveals channel and frequency settings, signal status and transmitter battery status. The receiver also features a ground lift switch, convenient in settings where bad power feeds result in ground hum and noise on the output stage.

The ATW-T310 body-pack transmitter features Audio-Technica's unique UniPak input connector. The input conveniently accepts both line and microphone level signal (adjustable) allowing instrument signal as well as microphone signals. An assortment of compatible microphones and instrument cables are available from Audio-Technica. The light weight transmitter operates on 2-AA Alkaline batteries for up to 6 hours (High) and 8 hours (Low).

Frequency Agile
The system operates on UHF frequencies allowing greater channel selectability and range. The transmitter and receiver feature 200 user selectable channels.
Diversity Reception
The ATW-R310 receiver features dual internal receivers. The receivers relay between each-other, vying for the strongest reception while minimizing noise and signal drop-out.
UniPak Transmitter
Audio-Technica's UniPak transmitter is a body-pack with an input connection designed for low and high impedance signal. This makes the transmitter versatile enough to handle microphone and line level signals.

    Audio-Technica ATW-3110 reviews

    ATW-3110 Wireless Body-Pack System is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 15.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly As Advertised Our church purchased one of these in February 2012 and another in March 2012. One is used in our sanctuary by our worship leader (Contemporary style music). The other is used in our teen class by singers and speakers. We use them with the Countryman Isomax headset. They both work great. Easy to use. Love that they have the battery level indicator on both the receiver and on the pack. Mute button is easily accessed without even looking at the pack. Gives great clarity and response. Battery life is good. Counting these two packs, we have 8 wireless mic systems in the church and haven't had any problems with interference.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome wireless!!! I put this wireless in my mesa bass rig and it has performed flawlessly. I was looking at another manufacturer and a friend suggested this one. It was less expensive than the one I was looking at and I couldn't be happier with the results. I have used it indoors and outdoors with absolutely no issues. I couldn't recommend it enough for anyone wanting to go wireless.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product, even better investment Having used AT3K systems extensively, both lav and handhelds, they get two thumbs up. We use them primarily with praise and worship teams, but also for spoken word with regional and national speakers. I'm a fan of the 831 uni lavs for sound quality, the beltpacks are extremely durable, have never had interference problems with 10+ freqs in use at a time. I love the protective inserts to keep stray hands from the bodypack controls! The handhelds work well for vocals, effective pattern control for our uses. My only concern - the 'mute' on the handheld transmitters can be inadvertently activated by nervous tapping fingers - I'd love to see a 'lockout' on these. Five stars from me - we'll keep on spec'ing them and using them. Thanks AT!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best wireless system I have ever used. The 3000 series microphones are really great. I have used mine for many applications -- a rock band, a worship band, in an acoustic setting, for spoken word, and even in a pinch for recording. The set-up of the system is exceptionally simple. The use of the microphone power/stand-by switch is very intuitive and the battery life has been very good as well. The sound quality I have found to be exceptional, even in very soft settings. The gain settings make it very easy to adapt to any live situation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding Wireless System While there are better AT Wireless systems, the 3000 series gives outstanding results for use in meeting, convnetions and special events. I have used the 3000 series for vocalists in bands that perform at our events with no complaints and excellent sound reproduction. We own 8 systems and have never had a problem either with cross talk or interferience. We have had minor hits when the batteries are low and need to be replaced. We have never had to change frequencies because of interference.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Dropouts plague these systems. Not worth it... I have 12 of these systems. I have stopped using them. I replaced them all with wired mics, and purchased three choral hanging mics with stand adaptors so I can mic the entire stage with a wired system. I set each receiver's frequency individually so that there were NO conflicts, put in new batteries, and tested the handhelds and the theatermic/bodypac combinations. They worked, but only when there was no one else in the room. The second I put them on my performers, drop-outs galore. The only explanation I can figure is that many of my actors wear hearing aids. They aren't in the same frequency range, but the mics gave me FITS for the entire run of our play. Done with this concept and brand. The only reliable wireless mics I have are vhf not uhf. There is also no depot level maintenance -- I have to send to the factory for any repairs.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from "A Great System" I have the ATW 341bc system and I like it a lot. I like the simplicity of set-up. I like the size and shape of the transmitter, it has a great feel to it, it doesn't feel cheap, and it also produces great sound. I have ordered and just received the ATW 371bc condenser transmitter to go along with it. These are the types of transmitter that needs to come with the digital system.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great set of features, sound quality, and value Purchased set of six hand-held systems for support of an a cappella chorus. Love them! The chorus immediately noted an increase in sound quality over our previous systems. I love the clear readout of channel, AF and RF strength, etc. -- especially the remote battery monitor. That's saved our bacon during performances! Good noise-free handling characteristics.
