Dry Lam E0811-1 overview

  • 1Description

This 100-pack of 8.5 x 11" Colortac Dry Mounting Tissue from Dry Lam is a general-purpose tissue used to mount photographs, ink-jet prints, and flat art onto mat boards, museum boards, and other types of materials for display. Because the dry mounting tissue has a low heat activation of 165°, it is ideal for RC, fiber-based prints, and materials that are sensitive to heat.

The dry mounting tissue maintains a neutral pH balance, which will not harm stored material over time. If a mounting board becomes frayed or damaged, the tissue can be reheated to 200°; therefore, the print is removed from the mounting board, so it can be remounted to new board.

Dry Lam E0811-1 reviews

Colortac Dry Mounting Tissue (8.5 x 11", 100-Pack) is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 17.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great time saver! The basic advantage of the product is that it is precut to the perfect size. I was using dry mount tissue from a role and dreaded the task of precutting the sheets to standard sizes. This solves the problem. It works very well at the lower temperature and lower times in the press. And wait! There is more. Forget the myth about inkjet prints. It worked perfectly the first time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dry Mounting tissue I have an old Seal 120 dry mounting press and was having some problems with the paper that I had holding to the dry board. this paper has preformed extreemly well. I would recommend it to all. Chadcarl

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far so good I use this product to mount my digital prints with a heat press. I've had no problems so far; it adheres all of my photos perfectly to the board. I'd be interested to see how it holds up after time.... It's basically in a cardboard box that unfolds and doesn't seal shut again. Inside, the tissue is a big stack of paper that is loosely connected on one end and just peels apart. It's not the best way to have the tissue stored, but it isn't horrible.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Convenient Size and Low Temperature Since I mostly print digitally regularly sized dry mounting tissue isn't the correct size unless of course I cut down my prints. Browsing B&H I saw the Colortac 8.5x11 dry mounting tissue. Not only was the size right but it also has a low temperature adhesive. I've now mounted several prints using this tissue and have found it works perfectly for mounting digital prints at the recommended temperatures.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic! Even at home using an iron I was able to use this at home with an iron the lowest setting to finish my wedding album. It worked great. You do have to remember to put a piece of wax paper over the pictures as well as a piece of card stock- otherwise it will cause digital photos to bubble. It was really easy to fix mistakes, just up the iron temp and try again. I highly recommend this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple and easy to use Our students used this product to mount our final assignments for an Intro Photo class. It was easy to attach and mounted quite easily and securely. The product was as good as more expensive tissue that I used to buy. I can recommend this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from good mounting results This is a good consistent mounting tissue. It gives uniform results, it uses low heat and works quickly. The only problem I have had with it is the packaging, it is loose in a cardboard box and you can't easily close it after it has been opened.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works OK, A bit oversized This product works great. It is a little oversized which can be good incase of miss alignment but requires you to trim the sheet down if you don't want excess outside the edges of your print.
