Tamron AF061M-700 Overview

The Tamron 28-300mm XR Di lens replaces the popular XR LD Ultra Zoom version, and has now been improved to include Tamron's "Di" design. Digitally integrated design is the designation that Tamron uses for lenses that feature the improved optical design that meets the performance characteristics of digital SLR cameras, as well as film cameras. When used with APS-C size (standard) digital SLR cameras, the lens provides an angle of view equivalent to approximately 43-465mm, covering the standard-to-ultra-telephoto range with no sacrifice of quality or aperture range.

This lens is ultra-compact and light-weight, with a constant minimum focus distance of 1.6' (0.5 m) and a high maximum magnification of 1:2.9. The remarkable achievements are brought about through XR (extra refractive index) glass and efficient use of aspherical lenses. Size is reduced 25%, weight 27% and filter diameter was decreased from 72mm to 62mm. The ideal "all-in-one" zoom lens, for indoor and outdoor use.

Optimized for Minolta's (D) & ADI (Advanced Distance Integration) flash metering system.

question

Will this lens work on Sony a37 camera?
Asked by: Joy E.
I believe that all Sony DSLRs have the same compatibility with the old Minolta Maxxum mount. This lens fits my a57 which should have the same mount as yours. It's a very good lens for everything use. Once I finally got Sony to calibrate my focus I love my camera and this lens now n

question

Will this Lens work on the Sony A58?

Yes. It is an Alpha mount so it should go on just fine. Great lens -took photos from seaside panoramas to action shots on 300 Tele setting from top deck of Indian Wells tennis tournament. Super results.

question

Will this work in Sony Full Frame like the A7ii?
Asked by: Daniel M.
I haven't used this lens, but the la-ea4 or la-ea2 adapters are not compatible with the tamron 60mm f2 macro and will only manual focus with the tamron 70-200mm f2.8 (older version). I have confirmed this with Tamron Tech Support and by personal use.

question

I am looking for a basic walk around lens for the new Pentax K1 full frame. I assume this is compatible and seems like a good choice. I have plenty of great lenses but just want one single do everything lens for travel. Etc. Is this compatible?
Asked by: Rachael H.
The Di on this lens means it is a Full Frame Lens.

question

Does this lens fit the Canon EOS Rebel T2i?
Asked by: Anonymous
The Pentax AF does not fit the Cannon mount. I believe that they do make this lens with theCannon mount, I have not had much success using a mount converter, so I would not suggest this option either. Sigma came out with an 18 - 300 that I love. You may want to search that lens before purchasing the 28-300.

question

When I attach this lens to a LA-EA4 (Sony A mount to E mount) adapter, the focus ring is really hard and rough to turn when the camera is set to MF. When I unlock it from the adapter, the focus ring becomes smooth and easy again. Any thoughts?
Asked by: Cody P.
Enter It looks like that either you did not connected the lens until the end or you did not connected the LA-EA4 to the camera in the proper way.an answer to this question.
