Leupold keeps their successful tradition of delivering state of the art sport optics alive with their persistent attention to detail, precision and quality. This American optics company, located in Portland, Oregon, pioneered the process of nitrogen purging to waterproof riflescopes in 1947. Since then and to this day Leupold continues to develop new technologies, and use advanced materials to push the envelope to produce some of the world's finest sport optics.
Competitive bench rest shooters favor high-powered sighting systems for their finely tuned & extremely accurate firearms. Competitions are often won by hundredths of an inch, so shot placement must be precise & repeatable. Image is crucial and fine precision adjustments are a must. Leupold's 45x45 Competition Riflescope is a natural choice for every precision shooter who's up to the task and properly equipped for this level of sport shooting. This scope combines legendary Leupold accuracy with unequaled clarity & repeatability that delivers the optical edge you'll need to take your skills to the next level. The high contrast flat field of view produces a brilliant & crisp sight picture that relieves all doubts about your point of aim. Whether you shoot for groups or points you'll score higher and hit more consistently. The tactile 1/8th MOA precision adjustments are also audible so you'll know precisely where your next shot is going to land. Parallax adjustment is a snap, just dial in your distance with the conveniently located turret knob; no longer will your reticle seem to shift when you tilt your head or change points for the next string at a longer distance. For long range competitions the solid 30mm aluminum main tube provides a generous 38 MOA of adjustment for both windage and elevation. However, for very long range competitions a canted base is advisable and often necessary in order to get on paper without a difficult and inaccurate method of holding over. No longer is it a question of whether or not you're in the game. The question is:   Are you in position? With the 45x45 Competition riding on top of your receiver not only are you in position, you're ahead by a long shot.
To use a riflescope with your firearm, you'll need a mounting base and mounting rings in addition to the scope itself. Bases attach to your firearm and rings attach to your scope. By affixing the scope mounted rings to the rifle mounted base you create a reliable accurate, and secure sighting system. Proper spacing of the rings, as well as the ring height should be considered to ensure a proper line of sight can be established. This will maximize the value of your investment, and enhance your shooting experience. It should be noted that in many mounting applications, a professional gunsmith's skills will be needed for proper installation.
