Whirlwind MS-8-0-NR-050 Overview

This Whirlwind Medusa Standard Series 8 Channel (0x Return) Snake is a snake cable with a heavy-duty steel stagebox at one end and a fanout at the other end. The cabling consists of heavy-duty, flexible Belden CM rated multipair cable. Each pair contains two twisted 24GA 7x32 polyethylene insulated conductors with 100% foil shield and 24GA drain wire.

The fanouts feature genuine Whirlwind connectors. Mic channels are numbered and return connectors are lettered by engraving the metal barrel with large, easy to read graphics.

Snake cables make it possible to combine several balanced (microphone) cables into one smaller diameter multipair cable, making setup and teardown much faster and easier, with less tangling and clutter than would otherwise be the case.

Heavy-duty powder coated steel stagebox with Whirlwind connectors.
Fanouts with multiple layers of rugged heat shrink at the most critical points.
Fanouts feature Whirlwind connectors with engraved numbers and letters.
Genuine Kellems wire mesh hanger to support the fanout at the board.
Genuine Kellems strain relief and grip with internal cable clamp.
Made in the U.S.A.

The ideal small PA snake solution

I needed a 6-channel snake for my small PA that I take to parties and jams. Generally I run three mics and like to have two channels for keys and one for the house. I've used Whirlwind gear since the early 80s, and it's never let me down. This snake is no exception to the pro quality I'm used to seeing from Whirlwind. It is heavy duty, built to last. It works great too. I'm happy with it.
