Audio-Technica Pro 41 overview

  • 1Description

The Audio-Technica PRO 41 is a rugged handheld cardioid dynamic microphone optimized for capturing speech and vocals in rehearsals, public address, or onstage. Its frequency response is optimized for enhanced intelligibility of vocals. The PRO 41 features a dynamic element with a high-output neodymium magnet, which contributes to achieving high output levels with low noise floor.

The cardioid polar pattern is effective in minimizing noise and ambient audio at the off-axis sections of the microphone capsule. The result is minimal ambient noise and feedback from nearby monitor speakers. Internal shock mounting impedes handling noise and a two-stage grille delivers protection against plosives. Gold-plated XLRM contacts increase conductivity for proper signal transfer. An on/off switch is featured for added user control and the rugged construction ensures years of rigorous use. The PRO 41 ships with a 15' XLR cable, a stand clamp, and a soft protective pouch.

Optimized for Vocals
The PRO 41 features a 90 Hz to 16 kHz frequency response that enhances intelligibility of vocals by attenuating ultra-low frequencies and gently boosting the 2 to 5 kHz range
Cardioid Polar Pattern
The cardioid polar pattern effectively minimizes noise and audio at the off-axis sections of the microphone, which allows you to maximize gain before feedback
Internal Shock Mounting
The dynamic element is shock mounted within the capsule for enhanced protection against handling noise and damage caused by being jostled or dropped
Neodymium Magnet
The element features a neodymium magnet which provides high output gain and low noise floor
Two Stage Pop Filter
A rugged two-stage pop filter minimizes noise caused by plosives and sibilance
On/Off Switch
A MagnaLock power switch is featured for added user control
Gold-Plated Contacts
Corrosion-resistant, gold-plated XLRM contacts

    Audio-Technica Pro 41 reviews

PRO 41 Handheld Cardioid Dynamic Microphone is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Microphone I am a starting voice over actor and recently got into singing. I tried my Audio Technica AT-2035, but it didn't give me the presence and warmth that I wanted. So I decided to give the Pro41 a chance. It works astoundingly great for recording. For the price, it has great sound and clarity. If you are on a budget, I seriously suggest this mic. Pros: Price Quality Build Above Average sound On/ Off switch (It also came with a very long XLR cord not certain of length, but easily 20 ft even though it was not said to come with one.) Cons: Sound quality isn't crystal clear but I never expected it to be.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rugged and can always be counted on This is my grab and go mic for standup soundbite interviews for video work. Pickup pattern means keep close to the mouth but it also means it ignores lots of other unwanted room sounds.
