Avenger D600 Mini Boom Reviews
don't buy - poor quality washers
I bought this because I have used these in the past from previous jobs and they were always very reliable and held their weight well. So I bought one because of those good experiences, but they must have switched to cheaper materials because this one doesn't tighten or hold it's weight like it used to. I tightened down the knuckle a good amount and i noticed the arm was still slipping so i cranked it down even more which ended up loosening the whole arm due to poor quality washers. My Aputure 300d ended up smashing onto my table and cracked the glass. Thanks Avenger! Lesson learned - always buy Matthews
Won't hold under weight
Idk if it's the wax like cork they used but even with substitutions it won't hold the weight anywhere slightly extended, even with a counter weight, making it dangerous.
