ZEISS 1365-667 Overview

Lens hoods are primarily designed to prevent unwanted stray light from entering the lens by extending and shading the end of the lens. In addition, since the end of the lens is extended, you also get the added benefit of some extra protection from accidental impact.

Dedicated lens hoods are designed to match the specific focal length of the lens it was designed for.

I use a generic 58mm cap which works perfectly, but a standard 58mm Nikon cap wouldn't catch every time. Good luck.

How much of the finder window does this hood ...

How much of the finder window does this hood block on the ZEISS C Biogon T* 35mm f/2.8 ZM Lens? Camera would be a Leica M 262 or M 240.

While this hood does block a portion of the finder, it is not enough to cause an issue when focusing with your Zeiss C Biogon T* 35mm f/2.8 ZM lens.

The ZEISS shades for the ZM lenses will only fit to these lens types and are not compatible with lenses from other brands.

Hello B&H,I am using the Zeiss lens hood on a Zeiss f/2.0 35mm ZA lens and it works very well. I fits firmly and shields unwanted light with vignetting the picture. Unfortunately, I do not own and have not tried the hood on either the Sony 35mm or Zeiss 55mm lenses so I cannot comment.Best regardsIan

This lens shade uses a bayonet mount and is designed for the ZEISS Biogon 2/35 ZM, C Biogon 2.8/35 ZM and Planar 2/50 ZM. All three of these lenses feature a 43mm screw in mount for fitting filters, such as the ZEISS UV and POL filters.
