Do you point these at the subject or away from the subject and have the light bounce back?
Asked by: Jim
The Impact White Translucent Umbrella (33") is designed for a light to be shot through it, so pointing the umbrella directly at the subject works best in most situations.

question

Hello. I need a couple of shoot thru umbrella arround 80cm in diameter but is a must to have a solid center rod and fiber for radial rods. Can u recomand something on a budget that dont cist much but have that caracteristics? Thank you in advance
Asked by: Dan F.
I own quite a few umbrellas, most of which are translucent, all of which were included with the lighting system I purchased from B&H photo. Each one is constructed as you have specified as a must to meet your needs. They each have a solid center rod that feels and appears to be made of stainless steel. I cannot comment on the radial rods being fiber or not, since they are all covered by the translucent material/fabric. My best advice here would be to contact B&H Photo and speak to one of their very knowledgeable staff members. They have helped me many times in finding just what I needed, even if they are not the ones who sell it.David C

question

what is the color temp of these bulbs?
Asked by: Anonymous
The bulb spec is 3200k. I havent done anything to verify this but the auto white balance on the camera yields decent color accuracy. Good enough for web publishing.Hope this is helpful.
