Designed for long-range observations — especially in low light — by law enforcement, military, and tactical professionals, and engineered to exacting military specifications for outstanding performance in challenging environmental conditions, the Steiner Optics 10x50 M1050r Military Binocular is engineered to be an invaluable addition to any kit. This model of the M1050 is outfitted with a Mil-scale crosshair reticle specifically designed to enable fast and easy estimation of the range or size of a subject, or for calculating ballistic drop compensation for improved shot accuracy.

The optics are fully multi-coated to maximize light transmission through the light path that, when combined with the wide field of view and large objective lenses, present the user with an immersive observational experience defined by bright and clear high-contrast views and accurate color rendition from the pre-dawn hours to well past sunset.

Complementing the optical performance are construction details that allow the binocular to withstand the rigors of the outdoors. These details begin with Steiner's Sports-Auto-Focus system which allows the user to focus each eyepiece just one time, and eliminates the need to refocus again regardless of how near or far the subject is - or if it is moving. The chassis is made of a lightweight and impact-resistant Makrolon polycarbonate material that is wrapped in an oil-, petroleum-, and chemical-resistant NBR synthetic rubber armor that offers improved grip security, especially in cold and wet weather. Its optical tubes are nitrogen-filled and O-ring sealed to be waterproof to a depth of 16 feet, and are resistant to internal fogging when moving through extreme temperature changes and environmental conditions.

In a blind, on the boat, at the range, or during surveillance, the M1050r Military binocular performs to a professional's high standards in all weather and environmental conditions.

Optical Performance
  • Powerful 10x magnification allows for detailed observations of distant subjects
  • Large 50mm objective lens diameter draws in copious amounts of light to boost its light-gathering ability in challenging conditions such as at dawn and dusk, or in dense fog
  • Traditional Porro prism optical path produces a rich depth of field to more easily discern the relative distances between objects in the field of view
  • Floating prism mounting system helps to absorb impacts to avoid damage and maintain optical path collimation
  • Anti-reflection fully multi-coated optics maximize light transmission, improve color rendition accuracy, enhance contrast, and improve clarity
  • Wide 62° apparent angle of view helps to minimize the disorientation often associated with using high-power optics on rough or rolling seas
  • Generous 328' field of view at 1000 yards
Reticle
  • Uses hash marks and stadia lines with clear numbers for estimating range to, and size of subjects such as game animals, boats, buoys, and people
  • Traditional crosshair style is easy to read without cluttering the view
  • Can also be used to calculate ballistic drop compensation for improved first-shot accuracy
Use and Handling
  • Individually-focusing eyepieces enable precise tack-sharp views
  • ±5 dioptric correction allows user to compensate for optical prescriptions for sharper images
  • 56-74mm interpupillary adjustment range
  • Fold-down rubber eyecups for comfortable use with or without eyewear
  • 16mm eye relief makes viewing more comfortable with reduced eye strain, especially during long glassing sessions
  • Wide 5mm exit pupil will completely cover most pupils when they open and dilate in low light to avoid vignetting of the view
Sports-Auto-Focus System:
  • Individual eyepiece focusing
  • Requires only one initial individual focus adjustment per user
  • Eliminates the need for refocusing for targets at ranges from 22 yards (20m) to infinity
  • Enables the tracking of fast targets without the need to refocus
Construction Details
  • Built to exacting military standard specifications with tight tolerances
  • Lightweight and impact-resistant Makrolon polycarbonate chassis
  • Nitrogen-filled and O-ring sealed to be waterproof to a depth of 16' (5m), and resistant to internal fogging when moving through extreme temperature changes and environmental conditions
  • Oil-, petroleum-, and chemical-resistant NBR synthetic rubber armor offers improved grip security, especially in cold and wet weather
  • Raised ridges on armor improves grip security and stability

10x50 M1050r Military Binocular (SUMR Reticle) is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incredible Optics I bought these to use while finishing my deployment in Afghanistan and then to use at home on wild land fires as well as on SAR operations with my hometown fire department. These bino's have proven to be the best bino's I have ever used. The SUMR is very clear and easy to utilize when calculating distances. They have proven to be very durable after a drop off the top of an MRAP onto some gravel with no serious damage. I have very little limitations on how far I can see with excellent clarity even in very low light environments. I would recommend these to anyone who is in need to have minimal visual limitations in most environments. Great for looking into the night sky also.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding quality I use these for marine enforcement operations here in San Diego Bay. These things are very rugged and can take abuse! I am constantly dropping them on a hard aluminum deck. They hold focus great, and I have had no problems with Steiners ever. They are a little heavy, but they are of robust construction, and the lenses are on par or better when compared with other higher dollar binos. I love these things.
