ZEISS 52 45 10 Overview

The Zeiss Conquest binoculars are part of their improved generation, with clear cues descending from the flagship T* FL series such as the incredibly light glass-fiber reinforced housings.

Configured with an optical stack that features 60° wide angle viewing, a notable magnification level of 10x, and complementary 40mm objectives, Zeiss also graced this optic with phase corrected Abbe-Koenig roof prisms.

The combination of bright ABK prisms and a very respectable 4mm exit pupil ensures bright viewing until very late in the day, and Zeiss' legendary T* multicoating enhances the viewing pleasure considerably further by increasing light transmission and eliminating the veiling effects of flare and glare.

Built within a durable housing that has been filled with dry nitrogen for waterproof and fogproof performance under any climatic conditions, these fine field glasses also sport a rubberized exterior for a secure grip at all times.

question

I own an older pair of LICA 10 x 25 BCA binoculars. I am looking for a pair with excellent optics and a little more power. I do wear glasses. Will this be the pair I should consider? Thanks, J.L.

These would be an excellent choice. The focus is sharp and color rendition is true. I use them for birding and they are completely satisfactory. DB

question

Why did Zeiss discontinue this line of binocular? Also, what is the difference between the Conquest HD?
Asked by: Hector G.
Most manufacturer's do discontinue certain models after a while. This is normal. The newer HD Models have Multi-layer coating provides up to more than 90% light transmission for good twilight performance. Also LotuTec protective coating furnishes a clearer view in any weather and makes the optics easier to clean. The water just beads up and rolls off the lens. The models are better in low light. They do have a more durable structure to them as well.
