Great stands. I like being able to take the legs off during transport if needed. Also having my stand in black really helps hide them off camera.

Impact made an impact.

Since I already have 3 of these in my studio, buying 3 more to use on photo shoots outside of the studio was a smart ideal, especially since they came in a case. The case is very heavy duty and works well and rolls excellently. The stands already speak for themselves so I don't need to go into that because they're already very good. I bought the kit that had the turtle bases.

Heavy duty C Stand

I used this C Stand on an outside shoot and it did it's job. It's heavy, and handled my Godox AD300 Pro and soft box with no issues. Would definitely recommend.

Sturdy, nice build. Heavy

Built very well, sturdy and trustworthy. Only caveat is that it is heavy, but that's kinda what you're going for with a strong stand. I will probably buy the half-size version of this C-Stand as well once it is available in matte black.

I like them bette than my Matthews

I have several Matthew's C-Stands and then picked up two of the Impacts, which I actually like better. Impacts weight a few pounds more and the foot spread is notably wider so it's definitely more stable. The lock / unlock mechanism is really smart too.

Big and heavy, but that's a good thing

I definitely did not look at the specs when I ordered these. WOW, talk about huge stands. Happy to report that my first foray into C-stands instead of cheap light stands is positive: these are SUPER sturdy, quite heavy, and they feel practically unbreakable. Definitely what I needed considering my new lights all weigh 8-10lb each. No worries about them on these stands, and the best part is that the bases can be easily removed so they easily fit in my not-large-enough car for transport. Thrilled to have gotten a high quality product for my hard earned money.

Solid C stand

I've only used this once but already can tell it's a solid stand. It did not slide down or fall during my photo shoot. It is a pretty heavy frame so it almost weights itself down. I still used sandbags though just in case.

If you will be connecting the Godox AD400Pro Witstro All-in-One Outdoor Flash directly to the 5/8" stud on the top of the center column on the Impact Turtle Base C-Stand Kit (10.75', Chrome), then no additional adapter would be needed. If, however, you plan to connect the Godox AD400Pro Wistro All-In-One Outdoor Flash to the grip arm included with the Impact Turtle Base C-Stand Kit (10.75', Chrome), then I would recommend purchasing the Impact 6" Baby Pin with Collar 1/4 and 3/8" Tap, B&H # IMSRP110P. This would be inserted into the grip head on the grip arm, and would allow you to connect the Godox AD400Pro Wistro All-In-One Outdoor Flash onto the grip arm.

What secures the risers in place after positioning and tightening? Is it the screw pressing against the riser or is there a 360 design squeezing the riser?
Asked by: Adam
I never had a reason to take mine apart to see exactly how the screw tightens the riser, but it never leaves any marks on the riser when I've tightened mine. The design and quality is excellent and I have no complaints or issues. It is taller than the Avenger stand which may not be good for some setups, so keep that in mind.

question

I've never used a C-stand before. I have a Flashpoint Xplor 600 and a variety of modifiers. Is there anything additional that I would need to mount the strobe to this stand? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Asked by: Charles B.
If mounting the light to the grip head end of the extension arm, the Impact SRP-113 Long Double Stud 5/8 B&H # IMSRP113 would be needed. Otherwise, if you wanted to mount the strobe directly to the stand, you would remove the extension arm and place the strobe on top of the 5/8 stud there. Either way you go, using some counterweights such as the Impact Saddle Sandbag (15 lb, Orange) B&H # IMSBFO15 across the legs is ideal to keep the stand stable. Please see the image below for reference.

I would like to take off the Turtle base, and instead, use the stand with a kind of wall plate that could receive the stand. (I want a flat base, no legs.) What’s the size of the bottom spin of the stand? Is there any wall plate receiver that will match this size?
Asked by: Alexandre
You can get a junior receiver wall plate https://bhpho.to/2N3b1QK.
