Behringer VP1/B overview

  • 1Description

The Behringer VP1 Vintage Phaser Pedal is a classic phaser pedal designed to sound and look like a classic model manufactured in New York City beginning in the 1970s. Versatile and musical, the effects derived from the VP1 range from a rotary speaker to a jet-plane swoosh. And with a flick of the Tone switch, you've got a variable vibrato.

The VP1's enclosure is as historic as its sound, a big friendly metal box that's built to be stomped and stomped again. For live performance or recording, the Vintage Phaser Pedal is a quality phaser at an affordable price.

Classic Phaser Effect
The sweeping, swirling phase effect adds a dynamic sense of movement to any musical passage.
Vibrato Effect
The Tone switch lets you use the VP1 as a vibrato for guitar or bass.
Vintage Metal Enclosure
Rugged and attractive, the metal chassis of the VP1 can withstand the rigors of the road or studio, and look good doing it.

    Behringer VP1/B reviews

VP1 Vintage Phaser Pedal is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect pedal for the perfect price I purchased this because I was going to buy a Boss Phase Shifter but couldn't find one for the price point that I was looking for(used). I have been a fan of the subtle influence a phase shifter can have both on a clean funk sound and that little something on a screaming lead tone. I wasn't sure how it would sound with own set-up in a live environment. It did outstanding, and very easy to dial in for the exact sound you want. I prefer the long sweeping(airplane sound) I like it add ambiance, not be a filtered signal...So I play with it between 1-3. We are private function band and play just about everything, so it was perfect on Prince's Kiss funk rift at the end as well as a sweet lead sound that added just enough but not take away anything tonally. The only small complaint is that it does appear to take the volume down ever so slightly, just enough where I felt like it didn't stand out like I wanted when the whole band would come in.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Pedal ... low cost!!! Nice pedal ... low cost. It does the job of pedals four or five times the price. Well built ... and durable ... it's a heavy solid product. Extremely pleased ... no regrets.
