Is the Es-1 compatible with the NIKKOR Z MC 50mm f/2.8 z-lens?
Asked by: Don
To physically attach the Nikon ES-1 Slide Copying Adapter to the NIKKOR Z MC 50mm f/2.8 z-lens you need a step up ring like Sensei PRO 46-52mm Brass Step-Up Ring, https://bhpho.to/2kN8wae But the lens might not focus correctly and will take experimenting with extension tubes.

I would like to use the ES-1 on a Nikon D800. What would be the best micro lens to use? Would I need adaptors also?
Asked by: Greg
Officially the 55mm macro and extension tube were the correct items to use with this adapter, but the 60mm macro will also work without a tube.

question

Really interested in this one but for digitizing negatives. So, the question is, will this work with any kind of film strip holder like the Nikon FH-3 or other plastic film holders? Thanks.
Asked by: Hernn R.
I purchased the film holder on eBay from negative solutions and found it too thick to slide in to the ES-1 adapter which is what it was designed to do. I even sanded down the edges of the side of the holder which gets inserted and while it helped, it was still unsatisfactory. The seller did refund my money.

question

I have and old 100 mm canon macro with a 52mm thread and 1/1 magnification. With a full frame camera could I use the Nikon ES-1 Slide Copying Adapter?
Asked by: Jose Maria O.
While you could attach the ES-1 to other lenses besides the Nikon lenses that are recommended for it, you may need to add extension tubes to the lens in order to focus. One such option for extension tubes is the Vello Auto Extension Tube Set for Canon EOS B&H # VEEXTCD.

The ES-1 works best with the Nikon 55mm f/2.8 Micro-Nikkor Lens equipped with the Nikon PK-13 Extension Tube. Using any other lens would provide various results.
