Cokin CBZ100 Overview

The Cokin Z-Pro Series Filter Holder is designed to accommodate multiple Cokin Z-Pro Series Filters in order to help create the shot you envision. It can hold up to two rectangular filters, or two rectangular filters and one round filter such as a rotating circular polarizer, for the Cokin Z-Pro Series Filter Holders.

Rectangular Cokin Z-Pro Series Filters are 100mm-wide and 1.6mm-thick. A Cokin Z-Pro Series Filter Holder Adapter Ring can be used to connect this filter holder to the front of a lens.

Am trying buy to 77mm adapter ring for my Cokin Z pro filter. Can I use any brand of adapter ring with this product (Z-PRO Filter Holder) or does the adapter have to be Cokin brand? Thank you.

Yes, you would have to use the Cokin 77mm Z-PRO Adapter Ring (0.75mm Pitch Thread), B&H # COARZP77, for use with the Cokin Z-PRO Filter Holder. We do not have third-party adapter rings that are compatible with the Cokin Z-PRO Filter Holder.

No, the 105mm polarizing filter works with the Lee holder with an adapter and there is no adapter for the Cokin P holder to use that.

Will this holder produce vignetting with a Canon 17-40 lens on a full frame body?

No, you should not have an issue with using the Canon 17-40mm lens with the Cokin Z-PRO Filter Holder. The Canon 17-40mm uses 77mm filters, and would need the Cokin 77mm Z-PRO Adapter Ring (0.75mm Pitch Thread), B&H # COARZP77, to connect the adapter ring to the filter holder. The Cokin Z-PRO filter holder is large enough for lenses with 95mm filter threads, and would be large enough to prevent vignetting on the 17-40mm lens.

Is it compatible with the tokina lens 11-16 for nikon d7100? Does not generate vignetting?

You would need to purchase the Cokin Z-Pro Series Filter Holder Adapter Ring (77mm), B&H # COARZP77, to connect the Cokin Z-Pro Series Filter Holder, B&H # COFHZP, to the 77mm filter threads on the Tokina AT-X 116 PRO DX-II 11-16mm f/2.8 Lens. You should not have vignetting with this setup; vignetting would be minimized, if any is present at all.

Yes. Up to 3 Standard Z-PRO Filters (2mm thick) can fit in the Z-Pro holder at one time.

Will this holder work with other filters brands like Tiffen?

This holder works with 100mm filters that are 1.6mm thick, whereas the Tiffen 100mm filters are 4mm. That being said, they are not compatible.

You would have to purchase the Cokin 77mm Z-PRO Adapter Ring (0.75mm Pitch Thread) B&H # COARZP77 to connect the Cokin Z-PRO Filter Holder to your Tokina AT-X 116 PRO DX-II 11-16mm f/2.8 Lens. With the above adapter ring, the holder would connect to your lens and you should not get vignetting with this setup.
