This is especially true in situations where you don't have total light control, as in bright contrasty landscapes. Exposing for the foreground will produce a washed-out, over-exposed sky while exposing for the sky will leave the foreground dark and under-exposed.

Cokin CU960 Overview

This kit contains a Cokin Z-Pro Filter Holder plus:
#121L Graduated Light Gray G2 Filter
#121M Graduated Medium Gray G2 Filter
#121S Graduated Soft Gray G2 Filter

Often it is necessary or desirable to balance the light intensity in one part of a scene with another. This is especially true in situations where you don't have total light control, as in bright contrasty landscapes. Exposing for the foreground will produce a washed-out, over-exposed sky while exposing for the sky will leave the foreground dark and under-exposed.

Cokin graduated gray ND filters are part clear, part neutral density. They allow the transition to be blended into the scene, often imperceptibly. A ND.6-to-clear, with a two stop differential, will generally compensate the average bright sky-to-foreground situation and is also the most popular density of the series.

The Z-PRO Series is recommended for focal lengths of 20mm onwards (in the 35mm format).

Note:
These filters measure 100 x 150mm (4 x 6") and fit the Cokin Z-Pro Filter Holder. The kit does NOT contain a Cokin adapter ring - sold separately
Neutral Density Filters Have Four Main Uses
To enable slow shutter speeds to be used, especially with high speed films, to record movement in subjects such as waterfalls, clouds, or cars
To decrease depth of field by allowing wider apertures to be used, which helps separate subjects from their background
To decrease the effective ISO of high speed film (above ISO 400) and allow it to be used outdoors in bright situations
To allow cine and video cameras (which have fixed shutter speeds) to film subjects such as snow, sand or other bright scenes which could cause overexposure
Construction
Z-Pro filters are made of CR39 resin which is a reputable lightweight and durable optical material also used for ophthalmic glasses

question

Hi, I have this filter system. I recently purchased an FX camera. I'm planning to get Nikon 24-70mm. I presume that with a 77mm adapter ring, it will fit on that lens. With CPL, can the Lee accessory front thread ring fit on this holder? and what would be the size of the CPL?

question

fo I need to get extra adaptor for canon 82mm filter
Asked by: Aaditya C.
I am no sure if it comes with it. I believe i bought the adaptor separately. You better call the store, especially if you have more than one sense and you would like to use the filters on more than one lense. Since i have 82 mm and 77 mm i had to also purchas either step-down or step up adapter. Call the store

I have Canon 24-105, F4 lens + 100 - 400mm F4.5 to 5.6 ISII USM + 70 - 200mm IS II USM F2.8 and one Tokina Ultra Wide Ange AT-X 11-20 F2.8 PRO DX .KIndly suggest which all Adapter rings I should Purchase and its models to use this Cokin Z-Pro ND Filters?
Asked by: Jacob K L.
You will need to purchase the adapter rings to fit the filter diameter of each lens. Look on the inside of each lens cap you should see the filter diameter. for your wide angle lens you will want to order the filter holder for wide angle lens's.

question

Is there a wide angle filter holder available for the Z Pro series? I have P Series set with a wide angle holder which has only one filter slot. I need the same type holder in the Z Pro. Using Nikon 24-70 and 16-35 and get slight vignetting with the P Series.
Asked by: Donald S.
I have the Z Pro set and it has the ability to hold 3 filters at the same time. I mount mine to a 17 mm lens with 77 mm adapter ring. I have never used more than 2 filters at a time so I don't know if I'd get any vignetting with 3. I use this with graduated ND filters quite often and love it. The only drawback for me is the large size of everything. It can be a hassle to carry but still worth it to me.

question

Can this filter holder fit in the lee big stopper & Lee little stopper filter?
Asked by: Jude Eric N.
JudeYes, I have the entire kit in the travel bag. The holder will fit with the 3 filters and 1 added filter that I owned previously. Makes it nice to pack it all together for travel. Ed

question

How many filters can this holder accommodate?
Asked by: Jude Eric N.
Hi Jude,The holder bag has 8 separate dividers (9 spaces). However they are spacious enough to fit more than one filter in each divided space. I have 3 ND filters in one compartment. It can also fit adaptor rings and the filter holders. The filter holder itself I is designed to hold 2 filters at once, however you can place a third if required.
