Be careful to use it for your Lav mic, as it will transfer high voltage and probably kill your Lav mic.

Just simple

Seems to work great. I got this to have some flexibility if I wanted to use a 3.5mm input with my field recorder.

question

I'm assuming (since it was listed as an accessory to the Filmmaker Kit) this product will allow you to use the Lavalier included with the Filmmaker Kit as a hardwired mic via an XLR cable. If so, will this adapter allow +48V phantom power to be supplied to the Lavalier?
Asked by: Dale
No, this adapter does NOT convert phantom power (+48V) to plugin power (i.e. 3V to 6V) which is what your lavalier requires unless specifically stated otherwise.

Can this be used with a diety d3 pro?
Asked by: Logan
Yes, you can use the VXLR adapter with the Deity mic.. The VXLR adapter converts 3.5mm TRS to XLR. Since the Deity mic uses a 3.5mm TRS to 3.5mm TRRS cable and you need TRS to TRS, swap out the original mic cable and use a standard stereo aux cable such as the Kopul CMX-RC30 Right-Angle Coiled Stereo Mini Cable - Black, 8 to 30" (B&H # KOCMXRC30B).
