Can I use this cable to connect Rode NT-USB MINI to a mirrorless camera?
Asked by: ELENA
No, the Rode NT-USB Mini is a USB microphone and cannot be connected to a camera with an analog audio cable. It is only able to connect to a host device via a digital USB connection (or other digital connections such as Lightning with the use of an adapter).

This cable doesn't work when connecting my Rode VideoMic Go to my iPhone 6 - I have a Rode SC7 cable already, but does this not then work when using this VC1 cable with it on a phone?

Sorry for the delay in response, it doesn't work for me as well. I have even tried without the cable and the mic doesn't work at all. I hope that this helps.

Will this make a high-quality, lossless connection from a Rode video shotgun mic to a Camera (DSLR or Mirrorless)? Thanks!

The RODE VC1 3.5mm TRS Microphone Extension Cable provides a high-quality, purely analog connection. Whether the recording is lossy or lossless will depend on the type of digital file compression used.

The rode TRRS SC1 will not work with the rode VideoMic ntg. I work with both the canon 5d mark iii and the Sony a7riii and neither of these cameras power on or receive audio signals from this cable with this mic.
