The Sky System One 5.1 Configuration from Blue Sky International is a full-range monitoring system that is approved for use in THX pm3 certified studios. The five included SAT 6.5 MKII satellites combined with the 200W SUB 12 subwoofer provide wonderful clarity and smooth on and off-axis response. A BMC MKII Bass Management Controller is also included for remote system control.
The SAT 6.5 MKII satellites each have a 6.5-inch hemispherical woofer and a 1-inch dual-concentric tweeter. Powered by two 100W amplifiers with custom-designed crossovers, the speakers have a very low noise floor. The SUB 12 subwoofer has a 12-inch forward-firing driver, high and low pass filters, and balanced XLR I/O connectors. All speaker and subwoofer units have adjustable gain control, switchable operating voltage, and are fully video shielded. The BMC MKIII controller provides full 5.1 bass management and control for the system.
