    On-Stage ASWS58 reviews

Foam Windscreen for Handheld Microphones (Single, Black) is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 15.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better Than Official Shure Foam Unlike the official Shure A58WS foam windscreen this On-Stage windscreen will not fall off an SM58 or Beta58 after a slight knock. It has a very snug fit; in fact whilst attached you can hold just the foam & the mic will still not fall out. The foam is thicker than the Shure providing increased wind resistance, so too the foam contours down the side of the ball capsule protecting the mic from side wind gusts. By comparison the Shure leaves a large gap down the sides allowing wind in the mic. The fact that it's cheaper than the Shure too is just icing on the cake.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fits Sennheiser e835 Well I purchased both the On-Stage ASWS58 and the Auray WHF158 to compare the two for my church's e835's. Although both fit snugly and cover the screen portion well, I like the the On-Stage better. It looks just a little nicer, the bottom part looking a bit more chiseled and well formed than on the Auray.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fits and works well. It's tough for a piece of foam to fail, so at least 4 stars shouldn't be hard to get. This gets 5 starts from me because it is acoustically neutral, removing nothing from the voice or instrument near it, while still effectively avoiding wind noise. This review is immediately post-purchase: Time will tell how well it tolerates my dragon breath: If it runs away in horror, I'll be sure to update this review.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Another great budget product What can I say? It's a wind/spit screen. Using with Blue e100 mics. Big headed like Shure SM58s and they fit well. Softens 'Pah and 'Stah singers. Low priced as a foam screen should be. B&H was excellent on ordering, packaging, delivery and they were spot on with their reviews.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fits My SM48 Perfectly Haven't put it through any rigorous tests, but didn't notice many pops at our last rehearsal. I was a professional boom operator for a few years, so not sure I'd trust this to kill wind, but works great in the studio.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Don't need more than this to protect Incredible inexpensive, protects the metal head cover of the mic. Snug fit. You'll need more than this if you intend to use it in windy exteriors.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cheap and didn't fit This product may be fine but the employee who helped me promised that it would fit on to a Zoom H4N which it didn't.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It's a windscreen It works fine and fits over our SM58's. I have not used it in a windy environment yet, so I can't judge on that.
