Paramount 1726C overview

  • 1Description

This coiled heavy duty Paramount sync cord provides the necessary connection between any sync extension cord, power pack or monolight, and a camera, or triggering device that has a female PC (post connection) terminal.

Straight cords are lighter, and usually more economical than coiled cords; coiled cords stretch when necessary, and are more heavy duty than straight cords.

Premium sync cords have gold-plated ends, for longer lasting sure connections. This cord extends from 21" to 5'.

Paramount 1726C reviews

Household to PC Male #2-6C - Coiled is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Trusty standard You can never have too many backup sync cords. I use this with my Norman 400B strobe, and with a Norman 808m power pack via a household to 1/4-inch phone plug cable. I keep at least one spare in my case at all times. If I'm shooting anything that cannot be repeated, I keep two spares with me. Sync cords are among the least expensive items in your bag. Some truly are made cheaply. The PC connector itself is among the flimsiest electrical connections ever conceived throughout history, so all PC cords are prone to failure. That said, I've used Paramount cords for a while now, and I'm pleased to report that I've LOST more of them than have failed on me. My last one was borrowed by another photographer.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Strobe to camera cord These are great cords, and last a good length of time. They also make a tool to condition old cords, by keeping the metal contacts in the proper alignment. I recommend getting hat tool if you don't have one !
