Hahnemuhle Museum Etching Reviews
Wonderful paper - the best museum etching paper
This is a beautiful paper for my current series. It is clear/crisp on details, and and at the same time provides soft transitions on bright colors. The only issue to deal with in this heavy paper is de-rolling the paper to make it flat after printing. There are several videos online about how to make your own de-roller out of 3" to 4" PVC tubing. In my case, I cover the print's image surface with archival tissue paper from B&H, and use a Vinyl Window Shade to role them in.
Perfect for postcards
For me THIS is the perfect paper for postcards. I love the rounded corners (and the tin too!). I find that it's not always the perfect paper for some of my images but what's the first thing you do when you get a postcard - - you pick it up and hold it. This paper doesn't disappoint. The Museum Etching offers a heavy 350gsm weight; making it a husky paper. It has a very fine art feel and sublet texture. The beauty of these postcards you can print text on the back side (not images). I created a postcard template so I have a custom made postcard for mailing. I use a Canon PRO-300 offering a full bleed as well. Makes a very nice postcard.
