Fujinon CF25HA-1 Reviews

A sharp uniform lens for 1 CCDs but sensitive to backfocus

I have used this lens on 1 and even 4/3 CCDs. With a 4/3 CCD there is significant dark vignetting in the corners, which is absent with 1 CCDs. However it is important to get the backfocus distance to the CCD correct. Even a 1mm increase results in non-uniform focus, with corners becoming blurred. On a 2/3 CCD I previously rated this lens 5 stars. Note that the CF25HA-1 is now more expensive than the almost identical but supposedly higher resolution 2/3 Fujinon HF25SA-1 which used to be more expensive. I wonder if there is any significant difference between the two; the HF25SA-1 seems better value.

very nice lens

Very nice lens for machine vision.

A big lens, but uniform and sharp

I use a 25mm f/1.4 lens in fixed geometry at an image-object distance of 350mm. With a 2/3 industrial CCD, the Fujinon CF25HA-1 gives a slightly sharper 100x80mm image with less darkening at the corners compared to the much smaller and cheaper Fujinon HF25HA-1B under the exact same conditions. The latter only has the advantage when size, weight or cost are important.

Excellent Optics for the price

B&H delivered this product to Ireland on time. We use this lens for high speed capture up to 5000 fps, the F stop range (1.4 to 22) allows a lot of light to get to the 1 sensor, which is critical for high frame rates. I found the quality of the optics on this lens excellent for the low price. It's a sturdy construction and the lockable focus and aperture are very useful. The 100 mm MOD suited our application to allow us to get close to the subject. The viewing angle suited our application subject size of approx. 15 mm x 15 mm. If a larger subject is required the lens was able to cope by simply moving further away from the subject or use lens extension adaptors tubes. Overall very happy with this lens.
